The Grading Process
Receiving
All cards received are processed same day for order accuracy. Cards are unpacked and orders slips reviewed. Any errors are noted so the customer can be notified right away before grading starts. All orders without issues have certification numbers assigned to all cards. The cards are then placed in sequence by which they were received for grading
Grading
Cards are distributed to graders at the start of each day to ensure the first in are the first finished. Every card goes through 3 graders. Each grader completes a report card on their inspection of the card and each grader does not have access to other report cards. This ensures cards are reviewed fairly and the triple grading process reduces human error.
Finalizing the grade
The final step is a graders review. This grader reviews the findings of all three previous grade reports. He/she assigns a grade based on the strict point based scale for each error noted. After assigning the final grade, the order is reviewed and extra services such as cleaning are performed before encapsulation.
Encapsulation
The finished cards pass to encapsulation. All cards are placed in an air tight, waterproof and UV resistant case. Each card has tamper proof indicators hidden away to prevent fraud on our grades. Our cases contain unique labeling allowing users to view their grading report cards from all three graders. With our mission being transparency, every step of the process can be reviewed by the customer at all times.
Shipping
All orders are packaged and return shipping printed. Payment is collected at this time before shipping the order back to the customer. Our packaging allows for entertaining grade reveals without the need to keep cards upside down and flip to surprise yourself.
Data Intry
Every Saturday orders are tracked for delivery. If delivered, our data entry clerks publish the cards unique page to skjgrading.com. this page will display the cards final grade and have access to all three grade reports at any time
